ALLIED Surveyors Scotland’s Andy McCall MRICS has been crowned as RICS Matrics Surveyor of the Year in the Valuation category.

The accolade was collected at the RICS Matrics Awards ceremony, held in London. RICS Matrics is the early career community of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) for students, trainees and newly qualified professionals.

“This was a moment of real pride for me and a chance to reflect upon what has been a great few years of learning and growing as a surveyor and individual since becoming qualified,” said Andy. “I’d like to give a massive thanks to all my colleagues that I have connected with across the industry and who have supported me during my time in surveying. Lastly, a massive thanks to all my colleagues at Allied Surveyors Scotland for their ongoing guidance and support.”

Allied Surveyors Scotland’s director of operations, Kevin Keane FRICS, and current member of the RICS Scotland board was a recipient of the same award in 2021. He said, “Allied is full of great people, and working closely with Andy over the past couple of years has been a real privilege. His commitment to our #NextGen and Allied Academy initiatives stands out.

“Andy has also spent time on the Glasgow Matrics committee, networking with professionals across Glasgow and the west, volunteering his time to new entrants and organising charity and CPD events. A huge congratulations to Andy – helping nurture the next generation of surveyors is central to my role, and he sets an outstanding example.”
