Sika celebrates double Scottish roofing success

Sika roofing award-winning projects

SIKA has expressed its delight after the firm’s roofing division won two awards at the NFRC Scottish Roofing Contractor of the Year Awards 2025.

The company’s collaborative projects at Robin House and J Smart Offices were recognised at a luncheon in Glasgow.

In the Single Ply Roofing category, Sika and Aim Developments Ltd triumphed for their work at Robin House, a children’s hospice in Balloch. The 650m² roof refurbishment required careful coordination and sensitivity, ensuring the hospice’s vital services continued uninterrupted throughout the complex installation. The project showcased collaboration, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering durable, sustainable solutions in challenging environments.

In the Solar Roofing category, Sika and Ashton Building Systems were honoured for their project at J Smart’s office building, recognised for its innovative, energy-efficient design. The 311m² installation utilised Sika’s roofing systems to create a sustainable, long-lasting solution that aligns with energy performance goals.

Mark Gatrell, business unit manager for roofing at Sika, commented, “We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised with two awards at this year’s NFRC Scottish Roofing Awards. Both the Robin House and J Smart projects represent the best of Sika’s values: innovation, collaboration, and quality. We’re incredibly proud of our teams and partners who made these achievements possible.”
