WEST Lothian-headquartered John Heaney Electrical (JHE) has increased its sponsorship of local Premiership team Livingston FC.

The electrical, mechanical and HVAC specialist has been a long-time supporter of the Lions, with this season seeing the company name proudly emblazoned on the first-team squad’s shorts as well as perimeter advertising at the stadium.

JHE has now further strengthened its ties with the top-flight outfit by sponsoring the plinth which holds the match-day ball in front of the main stand.

With the business based just a short distance from the ground at Brucefield Industry Park, MD Mark Heaney revealed there is a real synergy between JHE and the club, which bounced back from relegation last season to regain its place in the Premiership.

“We have supported Livingston FC for several years now and are delighted to see them back in the top flight, where they belong!” said Mark, who also sponsors skipper Ryan McGowan’s home shirt. “When the opportunity was presented to us to sponsor the plinth, we said yes as it gave us the opportunity to further our support for our local team and it keeps the JHE name out there.”

Livingston chief operating officer Dave Black added, “We’re delighted to announce John Heaney (Electrical) Limited as our Match Ball Plinth sponsor for the season. With our previous ball plinth having seen better days, an upgrade was much needed and alongside our 30th anniversary club badge, the JHE logo will take pride of place on each side of the stand.

“The Match Ball Plinth takes centre stage at home games as the match officials and both sets of players make their way out of the tunnel, and now John Heaney Electrical will be showcased at the same time thanks to this sponsorship agreement. We would like to say a big ‘thank you’ once again to Mark Heaney and all at John Heaney Electrical for their continued support of the club.”
