TAYLOR Wimpey West Scotland has revealed that an Approval of Matters Specified in Conditions (AMSC) planning application has been submitted to Renfrewshire Council for its final development of new homes, located off Arrocher Drive within the Dargavel Village masterplan in Bishopton.

The application outlines plans for 315 new homes, including 257 from the housebuilder’s new national range of house types, and 58 from its Caledonian Collection.

Key features of the proposed development include: a variety of house types and styles, including semi-detached and detached homes; an air source heat pump for every home; enhanced biodiversity with hedgehog highways, bug hotels, bird boxes, and bee bricks; footpath links to the wider Dargavel Village masterplan; and connectivity to local amenities, including access to the new Central Park and village centre.

Martin Findlay, technical director at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said, “We are pleased to have reached this significant milestone, which also signals over 14 years of commitment to this new and vibrant Renfrewshire community since the first Planning Permission in Principle was granted in 2011. We are very proud of our key role in the delivery of the Dargavel Village masterplan, and our latest proposal aims to complete our contribution to the master plan with a well-connected, sustainable community that not only provides high-quality new homes but also enhances the local environment and supports long-term growth.

“We look forward to working with Renfrewshire Council and the local community as the application progresses.”
