CLARK Contracts has achieved a Platinum accredited membership as part of The 5% Club’s 2025–26 Employer Audit Scheme.

The award is in recognition of the Paisley-based contractor’s dedication to nurturing talent through ‘earn and learn’ opportunities, including apprenticeships, graduate programmes, and sponsored student placements.

The 5% Club comprises more than 1,200 employers who are championing ‘inclusive, accessible, and impactful’ workplace learning. The Employer Audit independently validates achievements and future ambitions.

Gordon Cunningham, MD of Clark Contracts, said, “We are proud to have achieved Platinum accredited membership with The 5% Club, having been members since 2015. This recognition is a testament to our long-standing commitment to developing the next generation of talent through meaningful ‘earn and learn’ opportunities.

“Since the introduction of our award-winning academy in 2006, we have supported over 350 apprentices and trainees into the construction industry. This year, we are also celebrating the highest number of employees within our academy with over 45 apprentices and trainees enrolled. Today, we employ over 280 employees with over 20% completing formal training programmes. We recognise investing in our people not only strengthens our business but also plays a vital role in addressing the significant skills shortage within the construction industry.”

Mark Cameron OBE, chief executive at The 5% Club, added, “We are incredibly proud of the outstanding employers, like Clark Contracts, who continue to raise the bar for workplace learning. Their dedication to creating rich and varied ‘earn and learn’ opportunities sets a remarkable example. By achieving Platinum membership, Clark Contracts has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to investing in people — shaping the skills of tomorrow and driving lasting impact for both business and society.”
