ECOLOGICAL Building Systems, a supplier of natural building products, has announced the appointment of Scotland-based Edward (Ed) Anthony as technical specification advisor.
Ed brings over 20 years’ experience in building products and will represent Ecological Building Systems at this year’s BE-ST Fest in Glasgow, where professionals will have the opportunity to meet him and discuss sustainable building solutions.
He will work as part of the firm’s technical specification team, which has a network of advisers working with architects, builders, and homeowners across the UK.
Ed has a background in technical support, product management, and business development. Over the course of his career, he has worked with natural fibre insulation, airtightness solutions, and thermal performance design.
In his new role, Ed will advise on technical specifications, evaluate customer drawings to optimise thermal performance and airtightness, deliver CPDs, and provide both pre and after-sales support.
Neil Turner, Ecological Building Systems’ technical specification manager, said, “We are delighted to welcome Ed to the team. He is very experienced and well known within the insulation industry in Scotland and will play an important role in ensuring customers receive the best possible advice on sustainable building design.”
Ed Anthony added, “I was attracted to the role at Ecological Building Systems as the company is well positioned to support the needs of the UK building sector in the drive towards sustainable construction. I was already familiar with Ecological Building Systems, having worked in the insulation industry for many years and was aware of the company’s commitment to excellence in technical guidance and outstanding customer care.”
