HUB East Central Scotland has appointed Jayne MacLennan as its new chair, succeeding John Brown who resigned to focus on his charitable commitments.

Jayne brings board level and executive experience from across the property, infrastructure, and construction sectors. A chartered surveyor by profession, she has held senior leadership positions including executive director roles within FTSE 300 companies, where she led international property portfolios across the UK, North America, and Europe.

Jayne currently combines her non-executive portfolio with advisory, dispute resolution, and executive coaching roles. She has served on the boards of organisations including The Royal Air Force, LocatED, the National Trust for Scotland, the Port of Aberdeen, and Glasgow Prestwick Airport. She has also chaired the Lionheart Benevolent Fund and served as a trustee for SAMH and Step Change.

Gary Bushnell, chief executive of hub East Central Scotland, said, “We are delighted to welcome Jayne as our new chair. Her wealth of experience across the property and infrastructure sectors, combined with her strong commercial insight, will be a tremendous asset to hub East Central as we continue to deliver high-quality, sustainable facilities that make a real difference in communities across our region.”

Jayne MacLennan added, “I’m proud to join a team that has built a strong reputation for delivering projects that not only provide vital community facilities but also generate significant long-term social and economic value. I look forward to working with the Board and our public sector partners to continue building on this success, delivering inclusive, sustainable growth across the region.”
