Flexel donates Far Infrared panels to Scottish electrical training colleges

FLEXEL International Ltd is supporting the next generation of electricians by donating free Far Infrared heating panels and educational displays to every electrical training college across Scotland.

Working in partnership with Barry McKay from SECTT, the initiative marks the first time Far Infrared heating has been formally introduced into the Scottish electrical training curriculum — a milestone that is said to reflect the growing importance of low-carbon, energy-efficient heating solutions in the UK.

A recent installation at North East Scotland College is the latest in a nationwide rollout, giving apprentices hands-on experience with the latest heating technology. The new display showcases how Far Infrared systems provide ‘clean, comfortable, and efficient’ heat.

Flexel said its contribution ensures apprentices across all 23 Scottish electrical colleges are equipped with the knowledge and practical understanding needed to meet the demands of a low-carbon future.

“We’ve now included a short introduction to Far Infrared heating within the curriculum — something I hope will grow year on year,” said Craig Herriott – regional manager for Flexel. “It’s all about giving apprentices the tools and understanding to embrace modern, sustainable heating solutions.”
