EMN Plant Ltd is a family-owned private limited company based in the Shetland Islands. As an island-based business, we offer a wide range of services, primarily including civil engineering contracting, plant hire, quarry operations, haulage, waste management, and demolition.
We currently employ 45 full-time staff, all supported by an excellent management team. We take great pride in the high standard and condition of our plant and haulage fleet, which is continually renewed and maintained in-house.
We are now recruiting a Contracts Manager to lead our Civil Engineering division. Projects typically range in value from £100K to £11M. At present, much of our work is within the utilities sector, including the installation of HV ducting and cabling, as well as civil engineering services for the oil and gas industry.
This is an exciting and dynamic role with plenty of ongoing work and significant opportunities ahead, particularly in renewable energy and electricity infrastructure upgrades across the island. The position offers real variety — no two days are the same —and the chance to travel around Shetland as part of your work.
