Bespoke system checks out at hotel project

Scaffolding around city centre hotel

BRAND Access Solutions’ delivery of a ‘highly complex’ scaffolding and temporary roofing solution at the Moxy Hotel in Bristol earned the firm a nomination for the 2025 NASC Scaffolding Excellence Awards in the Project of the Year (Large) category.

Undertaken in the heart of a busy city centre, this live project demanded ‘meticulous planning, precision engineering, and exceptional care’ to avoid disruption to the public and hotel operations.

Brand Access Solutions developed a fully bespoke access and weather protection system that maintained full functionality of the hotel throughout the works. The project featured a fully encapsulated scaffold structure and craned-in temporary roof system, providing protection to a new timber-framed rooftop extension during construction.

The system was engineered using Brand Access Solutions’ CUPLOK scaffold, which the firm revealed was chosen for its ‘strength, flexibility, and speed of installation’ — key advantages in a restricted and sensitive urban site.

Deliveries and heavy vehicle movements were scheduled outside peak hours and sustainability was boosted by the use of scaffold and temporary roofing components being modular and reusable.
