THE revamped Bught Park in Inverness has been officially re-opened by Kirsty McNeill MP, parliamentary under secretary of state for Scotland.
Delivered by main contractor Clark Contracts, the £9.6 million project involved the refurbishment and preservation of the historic grandstand, the addition of new changing facilities, improved spectator amenities, upgraded hospitality and events spaces, and the construction of a new pavilion.
This project forms part of a wider programme of investment in the area, supported by almost £20 million from the UK Government. It was funded through the Levelling Up Fund, with additional investment provided by sportscotland’s National Lottery Fund.
Michael Scanlan, director at Clark Contracts, said, “We are proud to have delivered the refurbishment of Bught Park, a project that preserves the venue’s historic character while creating modern, high-quality facilities for the community. We hope the new improved facilities will benefit players, spectators, and visitors for generations to come.”
