KNIGHT Property Group has announced it has completed the acquisition, refurbishment, leasing, and ultimate sale of a 46,858 sq ft industrial unit at Tannochside Business Park in Uddingston.
The industrial facility was purchased by Knight earlier this year as part of its investment strategy. A refurbishment programme is said to have delivered ‘significant’ upgrades including improvements to the office space.
Knight revealed the works have transformed the standalone warehouse into a ‘high-quality, modern facility, making it ideally suited to fast-paced and growing enterprises’.
Shortly after completion, the property was leased to DFYNE, which trades under OLR Holdings. DFYNE subsequently purchased the property from Knight, as an additional unit at Tannochside, in order to support the company’s continued expansion.
DFYNE was founded in June 2021 by fashion industry executive Oscar Ryndziewicz. The brand recently topped The Times Top 100 fastest growing companies in the UK list.
Oscar Ryndziewicz said, “This additional facility represents a major milestone in our journey and is a critical investment in the next phase of our growth. We’ve built DFYNE on a commitment to quality, customer service and innovation. From the outset, the quality of the refurbishment and the location of the building made it the perfect fit for our business. The decision to purchase the site reflects our confidence in its ability to support our operations for many years to come.”
James Barrack, founder and chairman of Knight Property Group, added, “We are thrilled to welcome DFYNE to Tannochside. By acquiring, enhancing and securing a strong tenant for this property, we created significant value while delivering a high-quality industrial facility to the occupier. Supporting the growth of dynamic Scottish businesses like DFYNE is exactly what our investment and development strategy is all about.”
Gregor Harvie, partner at Ryden, said, “Securing a forward-thinking and rapidly expanding brand like DFYNE so soon after refurbishment completion is a testament to the quality of the product and the strength of the Lanarkshire industrial market. Knight’s investment created an asset that was not only attractive to lease but compelling for long-term ownership.”
Tannochside Business Park sits just one mile south of the A8/M8 corridor and close to key motorways including the M74 and M73, ensuring easy access to Glasgow, Edinburgh and major logistics routes throughout the UK.
Nearby occupiers include Wayfair Glasgow, Hilti GB Repair Centre and Whistl Scotland, placing DFYNE in good company within one of the Scotland’s most sought-after business locations.
