GLOBAL construction software specialist Dalux has set its sights on growth in Scotland after opening a Glasgow office earlier this year.

Headquartered in Denmark, Dalux provides digital construction software built on powerful 3D BIM technology in more than 140 countries. The company is known for offering what’s been described as the world’s fastest BIM viewer.

The new Scottish base, located on Bath Street, is led by industry veteran Jamie Gray, whose career spans senior roles at Hobs Reprographics, Space Solutions, Trimble Viewpoint, and Thinkproject.

“Dalux is a Danish company founded 20 years ago by brothers Bent and Torben Dalgaard,” Jamie told Project Scotland. “Our ethos is to be local in every market we operate in – and Glasgow is our first physical presence in Scotland.”

Dalux’s software helps construction professionals manage sites, inspect buildings, plan projects, and handle everything from snagging and quality assurance to health and safety and compliance. All solutions are built in-house on a single interconnected platform, making them easy to use and quick to learn – with no set-up or training fees. A free version of the Dalux Field tool and BIM viewer is also available.

With UK offices in London and Leeds, and 47 locations worldwide, Dalux made the move north after seeing major clients win projects in Scotland. The company plans to expand its Glasgow team, starting with a Customer Success Manager to support local clients. Dalux also connects with customers through its popular Dalux User Days, which share real-world project experiences. A Scottish edition is planned for next year.

“The Scottish market values trust and relationships,” Jamie said. “We’re not pushy – we let the software speak for itself. It’s about being here, building connections, and being ready when clients need us.”
