Paisley contractor celebrates double apprenticeship completion

Clark Contracts apprentices

TWO apprentice joiners have completed their training whilst working with Paisley-based Clark Contracts.

The duo completed a four-year apprenticeship working alongside the firm’s experienced tradespeople whilst attending West College Scotland to gain an SVQ in carpentry and joinery.

The two individuals are now joiners with the company and will have future opportunities to progress their career through further training supported by the business.

Clark Contracts currently employs 23 trade apprentices through its academy and over 20% of its staff are studying towards formal qualifications at college and university in subjects including quantity surveying, construction management, and administration.

The contractor employs new apprentices each year and holds annual careers evenings in Paisley and Edinburgh. Following the events this year, 11 new trainees and apprentices have been recruited so far.

MD Gordon Cunningham said, “We continue to be proud of the progress and career development of our employees through our award winning academy and congratulate our apprentices on receiving their SVQ in carpentry and joinery to become qualified joiners with the company.”
