CLARK Contracts has completed the design and build of a £30 million purpose student accommodation (PBSA) development in Edinburgh on behalf of Lanark Student Living.
The 257-bed development on Mayfield Road is situated directly opposite the University of Edinburgh’s Kings Building Campus.
Consisting of two five-storey buildings, it features studios and three-bedroom campuses, as well as a modern gym, communal area, laundry facilities, and a cinema.
The building was constructed with an innovative modular technique, with the studios and apartments being manufactured off site by modular specialist DMD Modular, before being transported to the site and installed within the building frame.
The design and delivery team included 56Three Architects, MDA Consulting, Meinhardt Group and Etive Consulting Engineers.

We have now delivered over 1,400 student beds in in the last 3 years.”
