RURAL Stirling Housing Association (RSHA) has unveiled 14 new homes in the Stirlingshire village of Croftamie.
The £3.57 million development comprises of eight cottage flats, four terraced homes and two semi-detached properties.
Built by The JR Group, the wider project team includes Collective Architecture, G3 Consulting Engineers, Ardmore Point, Brownriggs, and MacDonald & Cameron.
The new street name of McQueen Way is in honour of much loved Croftamie resident Agnes McQueen who died in 2022 and lived at one time nearby. Fittingly, the opening ceremony was attended by Agnes’ younger brother John and his wife Liz who live in nearby Drymen.
The funding to create the homes was made up of a contribution of £2.46 million from the Scottish Government More Homes Division,£140,000 from Stirling Council, and £972,000 from the housing association itself.
Fiona Boath, chair of RSHA, said, “These new homes represent our commitment to the communities of rural Stirlingshire and a long- standing desire to keep on building homes where people want to live. We wish the tenants every happiness in their new homes.”
