MILLER Homes has pledged £10,000 to a variety of community organisations near its developments in Scotland.
Now in its third year, the Miller Homes Community Fund welcomes applications from grassroots organisations and charities across the country. Since launching in 2022, the fund has backed 389 projects across the UK, awarding £284,100 in grants. In 2024 alone, over 131 groups received funding, with a total of £120,000 distributed to worthy causes which aim to make a lasting impact in the communities where it builds.
The latest beneficiaries in Scotland are: Clackmannan Community FC 2017’s; Paisley Society of Model Engineers; Creative Space Cumbernauld; Cumbernauld Colts Community Football Club (Girls u10 Yellow); Linlithgow Community First Responders; Bonnyrigg Rose Community Football Club; Family and Community Development West Lothian; and Forth Valley Tridents.
David McGrath, executive MD for Miller Homes Scotland and North, said, “Our Community Fund has become a core part of how we support the people and places surrounding our developments. Being able to contribute to local causes and see the positive impact first-hand has been incredibly rewarding. As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue building these connections and help even more communities thrive.”
David Miller from Clackmannan Community FC 2017’s added, “Thanks to this generous grant from Miller Homes, we will be able to invest in our coaches, funding first aid training, children’s mental health and wellbeing courses, and UEFA coaching qualifications. This support directly benefits the children, helping them develop both on and off the pitch.
“Funding like this is vital for us, as we’re based in a deprived area. Many of our families face financial challenges, and support like this helps us give every child the chance to chase their dreams, while also giving parents hope that their kids can access opportunities they may not otherwise afford.”
Trish Sime, development manager at Bonnyrigg Rose Community Football Club, commented, “The club would like to thank Miller Homes for supporting our mental health programme. This donation will help us support individuals with 1-2-1 counselling when they come to the club for help. It can be life-changing for some people so we’re very grateful.”
