PACIFIC Building has highlighted its credentials for delivering high-profile hotel refurbishment projects with the opening of Seaton House at the Home of Golf in St Andrews.
The five-star boutique hotel is located next to the first tee and 18th green of the Old Course and dates back to 1864.
Featuring the use of the ‘absolute best’ materials, fixtures and fittings, Pacific said the multi-million-pound makeover ‘exudes elegance and Scottish heritage’, showcasing timber flooring and oak-panelled walls.
Pacific partnered with US-based owners Links Collection, hotel management company Valor Hospitality, project managers Fitzsimons and designers Upperworth Studios and Unwin Jones on the project that started in March 2024.
Seaton House offers 42 luxury bedrooms including six suites and three junior suites. Guests can choose a sea or garden view, with five rooms benefiting from a own private terrace.
Pacific Building MD Gerard McMahon said, “As a Scottish construction company that exists to build great things, it was a privilege to have worked on Seaton House. This property will become one of Scotland’s leading hotels and it’s a special feeling to know we played a central role in its delivery.
“With a firm focus on striving for the best possible finish and using the finest materials possible, I’ve no doubt Seaton House will be the first choice for many seeking to stay at the Home of Golf. Over the course of the project, all partners have worked side by side, combining our passion for excellence to create something truly exceptional. Seaton House sets a new benchmark for refined hospitality for both golfers and non-golfers alike.”
A video has been commissioned by Pacific of the finished project, which will premiere on the company’s website and across social media channels this week.
An employee-owned business, the Hillington-based company is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
