LEE Hardy has joined the ownership and senior management team of Dwello, Scotland’s new residential letting agent, as its director of new business.
Dwello was launched in late May 2025, opening its first office on Byres Road in Glasgow’s west end.
Lee has close to 20 years’ experience in the Scottish lettings market and was the architect behind the growth of Tay Letting. In addition to driving growth in properties under management, Lee developed excellent relationships with both landlords and tenants and managed many of Glasgow’s most prestigious rental properties, Dwello said.
Adding that, with Lee’s ‘first-class’ knowledge, experience, and connections in the local market, Dwello plans to exceed 1,000 properties under management within the first two years.
Lee Hardy, director of new business at Dwello, said, “Scotland’s residential lettings market is ready for a fresh approach and I believe Dwello can fill this gap. With a focus on genuine, human service backed by leading-edge technology, Dwello is set to offer a more personalised experience for both landlords and tenants. It’s an exciting new proposition that puts people first while keeping things smart, simple, and tailored to modern needs.
“I’ve worked with various members of the team in previous roles, so I appreciate the expertise that Stephen and David have assembled within the company. There’s a great opportunity to grow, and I’m looking forward to working with Stephen, David and the team to help the business achieve its potential.”
David Gibb, operations director at Dwello, added, “Lee has a great depth of both experience and connections within the Scottish residential lettings market. His customer-centric approach and detailed knowledge of the market is a perfect fit for what we’re trying to achieve at Dwello, and it will be great to continue working with him as we grow the business.”
Dwello was founded by experienced landlord, Stephen McKechnie, who has assembled a team of industry specialists. Dwello will employ fifteen staff in its Glasgow office, and aims to enhance the lettings process for both landlords and tenants by being more agile and responsive than the large established agents in the market.
