CITY Access Scaffolding has announced the appointment of Ross Archibald as its new commercial director.

The Bonnyrigg-based company said that it was clear Ross was a ‘great fit’ for the role from the very first conversation, adding that he brings deep commercial experience, industry insight, and a shared belief in how a modern scaffolding business should be run.

Commenting on his appointment, Ross said, “What stood out most was the long-term thinking and the culture of quality and service-led delivery.

“I was drawn to the team’s professionalism and the prestigious projects they work on. That’s exactly what I want to be part of.”

Ross joins at a pivotal time for City Access Scaffolding, as it continues to expand its presence on major infrastructure, heritage, and commercial projects across Scotland, with the firm adding that Ross will play a key role in driving the business forward while maintaining the standards and values that underpin its reputation.

Ross continued, “I’m looking forward to helping the business grow. Building on what’s already been achieved. And working with the team to drive the next phase, without losing sight of what got City here.”

Project Scotland previously spoke to City Access Scaffolding about its strong track record of promoting from within, but as performance director Kirsty Allan explained, “Sometimes, you’ve got to go out and bring in the best. Ross is exactly that. We’re delighted to welcome him to the team.”
