TRADSTOCKS has announced that the business is supplying thousands of square metres of stone, including Tradstocks Scottish Whinstone, to Glasgow City Council as part of The Avenues Project – a public realm urban regeneration taking place in the heart of Glasgow.
A variety of the company’s stone products are being utilised at Cowcaddens and Dobbie’s Loan, helping transform the area with new cycle lanes, extended footways, and better carriageways.
Tradstocks has been working with principal contractor Wills Bros Civil Engineering Limited, supplying solutions including locally produced and manufactured Scottish Whinstone Kerbs and Setts.
The current value of the project is close to £500,000.
Mark Freedman, director at Tradstocks, stated, “Following on from supplying a range of stone products for the Sauchiehall Street redevelopment stage, we are proud of our on-going relationship with Glasgow City Council and Wills Bros Civil Engineering. We’re now delivering a range of natural stone products, including Tradstocks Scottish Whinstone, for this next stage of this important public realm project. We’re all very much looking forward to seeing people enjoy the new pathways and cycle lanes.”
