REAL estate advisor Savills has announced it has been appointed to bring to market a ‘rare and exciting’ residential-led development opportunity in Edinburgh’s New Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Located at 108–114 & 116 Dundas Street, the site has detailed planning permission for the demolition of existing office buildings and the creation of a mixed-use development comprising 58 apartments. This will include 12 affordable homes and three commercial units totalling 9,429 sq ft.
The development, known as The New Town Residences, occupies a corner position at Dundas Street and Fettes Row. The scheme includes 31 underground parking spaces and private terraces at penthouse level.
The residential accommodation is arranged across two main blocks, with an additional nine private apartments consented to the rear at 40 Henderson Place.
Ben Brough of Savills said, “This is a truly unique opportunity to deliver a landmark development in one of Edinburgh’s most desirable and architecturally significant neighbourhoods. With full planning consent in place and a prime New Town location, The New Town Residences offers a compelling proposition for residential developers seeking a high-quality, design-led scheme in the capital.”
