SCOTTISH Gas is teaming up with Scottish Rugby Union to host a series of net zero roadshows at rugby clubs around the country this summer to educate and discuss the organisation’s green technology solutions.
The purpose is to provide information and resources to help people reduce their carbon footprint and lower their energy bills.
The roadshows will feature a range of activities and presentations, including advice on energy-saving measures and demonstrations of technologies such as Hive eco-tech, air source heat pumps, solar panels, and battery storage. There will also be information about funding opportunities from Home Energy Scotland and the chance to discuss individual energy concerns with specialists.
The first roadshow has already taken place at Hamilton Rugby Club, with future events planned at Highland Rugby Club in Inverness (May 28), Ross High RFC in Tranent (June 19), Annan RFC (June 28), Dalkeith RFC (July 27), Lenzie RFC (August 9), Blairgowrie Rugby Club (August 9), and Stirling County RFC (August 15).
Anyone who attends the events will also have the opportunity to win a Scottish Rugby prize bundle including: four tickets for an Autumn Nations game at Scottish Gas Murrayfield; a signed Scotland Rugby shirt and ball; a Scottish Rugby goodie bag; and a Hive thermostat installed and fitted in their home.
