HOUSING partner Lovell has joined the ‘Buy Social Pledge’, the national initiative led by Social Enterprise Scotland and supported by the Scottish Government, which aims to make it easier for organisations to work with social enterprises for a range of services such as recycling and waste management.

By participating, Lovell, which is currently delivering housing developments across Scotland, will help social organisations increase the impact they have in their communities.

Tony Rankin, regional MD at Lovell, said, “We recognise the significant role that housebuilders can play in driving positive change. By signing up for this pledge, we promise to integrate social enterprises into our supply chain to help create a more inclusive economy across Scotland.

“Our Lovell Total Commitments, which focus on enhancing communities and collaborating closely with our supply chain, strongly reflect the principles of the Buy Social Pledge and reinforce our dedication to creating thriving, sustainable communities through the homes we build.”

Jamie Lawson, strategic partnerships & engagement manager at Social Enterprise Scotland, added, “We are proud to have Lovell onboard as part of our Buy Social Pledge initiative. Their commitment sends a powerful message about the importance of ethical procurement in the housebuilding industry and is a step forward in making supply chains more inclusive and sustainable.”
