Leith window replacement programme completed

Windows in Leith

THE final phase of a three-year window replacement programme in Leith has been completed by CCG.

Delivered on behalf of Harbour Homes, the latest workstream comprised the installation of 464 window sets to 97 addresses.

A Harbour Homes spokesperson said, “We’re working closely with CCG on window upgrades across our housing stock. This project is being delivered to a good standard with high levels of satisfaction being reported by our tenants. We’re looking forward to seeing these works through to completion.”

The windows are CCG’s own and have been developed in partnership with REHAU UK. Fabricated from a manufacturing hub at CCG’s HQ in Cambuslang, the Total 70 Tilt and Turn window profiles adopt PVCu as the principal material.

CCG explained that PVCu has a lifespan of up to 40 years and is not prone to weathering or rot. Furthermore, 75% of the window’s composition is made from recycled materials, offering A+ rated energy performance.

Each window set is fully completed before being installed by CCG Asset Management, CCG’s in-house planned maintenance division.

Jim Cunningham, CCG Asset Management manager, said, “Our team will always strive to undertake our window replacement contracts diligently and efficiently with minimal impact on the lives of residents. This is made easier via a strict pre-start process and the ability to install our own product range, offering clients like Harbour Homes a single chain of responsibility and service.

“Harbour Homes have always been a much-valued client to the CCG Group. We wish to thank them for their support during the course of this contract, and look forward to returning to Leith again later in the summer.”
