ARCHITECTURAL practice Holmes Miller has promoted Joanne Hemmings to the role of project director.
The firm said the move recognises Joanne’s contribution to both project delivery and the wider practice, with her commitment to design quality and project excellence being evident in her work on developments such as the award-winning Allander Leisure Centre and the forthcoming refurbishment and extension of the B-listed Penicuik High School, funded by the Scottish Futures Trust LEIP programme, due to start on site later this year.
Beyond project work, Joanne is said to play a leading role in shaping the culture of the practice, particularly in areas of staff development, diversity, and inclusion.
MD Callum Houston said, “Joanne is an exceptional architect, a respected leader, and a supportive colleague. She embodies the values of Holmes Miller through her dedication to high-quality, people-focused design, her sustainable approach, and her ability to foster strong relationships with clients and team members alike.”
