Hazard control specialist aims to help reduce stress in construction sector

Construction worker on site

RVT Group has revealed its commitment to providing construction professionals with a ‘hassle-free’ hazard control service.

The business highlighted the work done over the past decade by the construction sector to raise awareness and reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues, including awareness campaigns, making mental health resources readily available, training and peer support, the introduction of mental health policies and charters, and increased focus on work-life balance.

While these are all fantastic steps forward, RVT highlighted that many workers are still struggling.

A report released by Mates in Mind found that 48% of construction workers had taken days off work due to stress caused by unmanageable workloads, while Vitality conducted a health and wellbeing survey across the construction industry which found that 13% of workers have experienced burnout, 6% of construction workers suffer from depression, 18% have problems getting quality sleep, and 44% reported feeling ‘fatigued’ or ‘very tired’ at least once per week.

RVT Group explained the firm’s goal is to provide a hazard control service that is designed to reduce stress and provide peace of mind. The firm can take on all calculations, logistics, installation, and ongoing support.

Customers and potential customers can contact the company to discuss their challenges by phone, e-mail, or via the website. They will be asked a series of questions to understand as much about the project as possible, and if required, RVT will send a technical consultants to site, to ensure it is scoped correctly. This consultancy is free of charge.

Once all the information has been collected, the team will develop a proposal for a tailored hazard control solution.

Customers have access to RVT’s technical support team from the start of the project until the end, ensuring any problems are resolved immediately and downtime is avoided.
