
PAISLEY-based Clark Contracts has hailed a record start to 2025, with £75 million of new orders secured so far.
The largest of these is a £30 million project to construct a 273-bed student accommodation development on Osborne Street in Glasgow. A further PBSA project has been secured for a 76-bed development on Canongate, Edinburgh for S Harrison developments.
Numerous projects have also been won by the contractor’s small works division, including refurbishments to care homes, hospitals and laboratories, external refurbishment works on George Street, Edinburgh and several projects for repeat customers including the University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde, NHS Scotland and Scottish Police Authority.
Further awards include contracts for the refurbishment the iconic Filmhouse cinema in Edinburgh, the construction of a new waste management facility in Fort William for The Highland Council, the Cat B fit-out of 177 Bothwell Street for NHS Education for Scotland and Public Health Scotland and the partial conversion of the Old Motherwell Town Hall into 20 social housing flats for North Lanarkshire Council, which is being delivered by the main contractor’s housing division.
