CELTIC Football Club has unveiled plans to replace its existing Glasgow city centre store with an outlet more than double the size.

The plans, which have been approved by Glasgow City Council, will see the club move into a unit on Queen Street which was previously home to Next.

Hailing it as a ‘huge’ development for the club, the new store – which is being launched in collaboration with shirt sponsor adidas – will deliver 5,500 sq ft of retail space across two floors – with plans showing a ‘modern’ and ‘spacious’ environment.

Celtic said in a statement announcing the plans, “Supporters can look forward to shopping our fantastic range of kits, training wear, adidas Originals and so much more in a modern, spacious, and accessible environment.

“The store will be launched in partnership with our official kit supplier adidas, who have been integral to our fantastic new design and fit-out and will offer a truly immersive fan retail experience, showcasing the strength of the partnership between two world-renowned sporting brands in Celtic and adidas.”
