BELLSHILL-headquartered ADL Lift Services Ltd is to deliver the final phase of a £3.3 million North Lanarkshire Council lift replacement programme.
The work will see ten outdated lifts replaced at Avon, Calder, Clyde, Elvan, and Woodside Towers, enhancing everyday life for hundreds of residents and reinforcing the local authority’s commitment to modernising its housing stock.
The project will begin in this month and run for 125 weeks. The project includes the complete removal and installation of new lifts, but will also provide other community benefits including new apprenticeship opportunities for local young people, educational visits, and support for local projects.
Councillor Michael McPake, convener of housing at North Lanarkshire Council, said, “This is another important step in our ongoing commitment to improving housing conditions across North Lanarkshire. Investing in essential infrastructure like these lifts ensures our towers remain safe, accessible and fit for purpose while we continue our longer-term housing and towers transformation plans.”
“This contract reflects our continued drive to provide high-quality, sustainable homes and improve the wellbeing of residents by delivering safer, more modern living environments.”
