STORY Homes has submitted a full planning application to Dumfries & Galloway Council for a proposed new phase of development at its Summerpark site in Dumfries.
The plans comprise 108 new homes on land at Marchfield, including a mix of three to five-bedroom properties.
Story revealed the scheme will deliver a range of community benefits, including a children’s play area, tree-lined streets, and pedestrian links to the Marchfield Rounall and wider public right of way network. New green areas of public open space will also be delivered on-site.
First opened in 2008, Summerpark was Story Homes’ first Scottish development and is now home to more than 500 residents.
Adam McNally, senior land & planning manager for Story Homes, said, “We’re proud of the community that has grown at Summerpark over the past 17 years, and we’re excited to have submitted these plans for consideration. If approved, this next phase – bringing 108 new homes – would allow us to continue supporting housing delivery in Dumfries.
“Summerpark has a strong sense of community and a reputation for quality that we’re committed to upholding. We look forward to engaging with Dumfries & Galloway Council and the local community as the plans are considered.”
