
ROSS Mathie has been appointed technical and commercial manager at the Scottish Building Federation, succeeding Ian Honeyman who will shortly retire.
He joins from St Andrews-based Headon Developments and his background as a company director and chartered quantity surveyor encompasses technical standards, regulatory compliance and commercial strategy.
In his new role, Ross will provide commercial advice and guidance directly to SBF members, helping to resolve disputes, supporting debt recovery cases and answering technical and contractual queries. He will act as a key liaison with government agencies and industry bodies and facilitate training programmes to support professional development within the SBF membership.
Ross said, “I’m really looking forward to getting started and supporting the members of the Scottish Building Federation. I have first-hand experience of the value that SBF can add to members and I’m excited about the opportunity to utilise the experience that I have gathered over the years to help contractors of all sizes.”
