GRAHAM + Sibbald has announced the promotions of Alistair Nicol (Edinburgh) and James Devine (Glasgow) to the role of associate.
Alistair is a chartered building surveyor with over five years’ experience, having joined as a graduate surveyor in 2020. James joined the business as a student surveyor in 2016, graduating in 2021 and becoming chartered in 2023.
Both Alistair and James’ recent work includes managing commercial fit-out projects, development monitoring, dilapidations, and undertaking RCA portfolios. Their day-to-day work includes schedules of condition, defect analysis, building survey reports, and acting for both the landlord and tenant in the negotiation and settlement of schedules of dilapidations.
Neil MacFarlane, UK head of technical services said, “It is an exciting and busy time for the building surveying department across the UK but particularly across Scotland’s central belt. These promotions are very well deserved, and I have confidence in the fact that both Alistair and James will continue to push our service offering forward.”
