TAYLOR Wimpey East Scotland has commenced construction on its final development in Calderwood.

The milestone follows the recent planning approval from West Lothian Council for 112 new homes at the site, which marks the culmination of Taylor Wimpey’s decade-long commitment to the Calderwood masterplan.

The development will feature a selection of two, three, four, and five-bedroom homes designed to cater to a wide range of buyers. Of the properties, 16 will be delivered in accordance with the council’s affordable homes policy, with a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom homes available.

The site will also contribute £5 million towards local education facilities as per the requirements of the Section 75 legal agreement with West Lothian Council.

Pauline Mills, technical director at Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, commented, “We are thrilled to have commenced construction on our final development in Calderwood. This marks our sixth and final phase of new homes in this area, and it is rewarding to see the masterplan come to life after 10 years of work. Our teams are dedicated to delivering an impressive choice of new homes for prospective buyers in East Calder.”
