MUIR Timber Systems has been awarded a contract to supply materials and prefabricated timber wall partitions to WElink Homes for the Heartlands regeneration project in West Lothian.
The Heartlands project is described as one of Europe’s largest regeneration schemes, encompassing over 1,000 new homes spread across multiple phases. Fife-based timber frame manufacturer Muir will provide components for 47 private homes, including a combination of materials and internally prefabricated timber wall partitions.
These components are designed to complement WElink’s steel structure approach for the homes completed as part of this phase of the development.
Gary Gray, general manager at Muir Timber Systems, said, “Muir Timber Systems has had a strong start to the year, with a series of contract wins reflecting the positive momentum in the construction market. As demand continues to grow, we are building a strong pipeline of rewarding projects for 2025 and beyond.
“The Heartlands development is a landmark project for Scotland’s housing and infrastructure landscape, and we are proud to contribute to its success. We look forward to working closely with WElink to drive progress at Heartlands and deliver high-quality homes as part of this transformative regeneration initiative.”
