TILLICOULTRY Quarries has announced it has achieved ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to health, safety, and environmental management.

The certifications complement the ISO 9001 quality management certification already held by the business.

Tillicoultry Quarries attributed this latest success to the hard work and commitment of all operational teams and was driven by Shona Syme, IMS manager, who collaborated with all departments and led a review of standards, processes, procedures, and requirements to ensure consistency and compliance across all areas of the business. Shona was supported throughout the process by the health, safety & environment team.

To support the integration of the management systems, an internal platform has been introduced that provides access to all relevant documentation for all sites. This ‘rigorous and structured’ approach is said to deliver a range of benefits, including standardisation and consistency, improved internal and external communication, enhanced training and awareness for employees, reduced risks and increased profitability, and a culture of continual improvement.

These certifications have been extended to the company’s mortars and renders business.

Scott McDonald, health, safety & environmental manager, said, “Achieving these certifications is a testament to the hard work, focus, and commitment of all the Tillicoultry Quarries team. We are committed to continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards across the business.”
