Glenrothes-made infrared ceiling heater panels show their flexibility

Flexel EcoSunC

Flexel has revealed that its ECOSUN C+ far infrared ceiling heater panels represent a ‘sophisticated and energy-efficient’ heating solution, designed and manufactured at the company’s Glenrothes facility.

The business said the resilience of its production capabilities is noteworthy, having overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic and subsequent surge in raw steel prices due to war in Ukraine. By utilising high-quality British steel and their proprietary inked cloth heating element, Flexel said it ensures a product that is both durable and provides ‘consistent, comfortable warmth’.

These panels are engineered to integrate into standard 600x600mm ceiling grid systems, which Flexel added makes them an ‘ideal’ replacement for traditional ceiling tiles in a variety of settings.

The solutions are suitable for commercial spaces, education institutions, public buildings, and residential applications.

Flexel revealed that a key advantage of far infrared heating is its ability to directly warm people and objects, rather than just heating the surrounding air. This is said to result in significant energy savings compared to conventional heating systems. The new updated ECOSUN C+ models feature an IP55 rating, making them suitable for environments where moisture or dust may be present. Furthermore, the reduced wattage options (300w and 600w) and the increased thermal cut-out allow for greater flexibility in installation, particularly in spaces with higher ceilings.
