PROPERTY and construction consultancy Gleeds has announced it has officially been named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces by Great Place to Work, a global authority on workplace culture.

Following evaluations of hundreds of employee survey responses alongside Culture Audit submissions from company leaders, Gleeds has been ranked among the top 50 businesses in the ‘super large’ category on this year’s UK’s Best Workplaces list. Data insights were used to benchmark the effectiveness of employee value propositions against the culture those employees experience, with only those achieving the highest scores gaining Best Workplaces status.

Louise Ellis, chief people officer at Gleeds, said, “I am a firm believer in the power that creating a positive culture can have on a business, so I’m thrilled to see Gleeds named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces again this year. The UK senior leadership team has been instrumental in driving employee engagement and, with the support of the people team, has demonstrated a real commitment to fostering an environment in which everyone is treated fairly, inclusively, and respectfully. It’s gratifying to see that recognised with accolades like this.”

UK MD Brian McArdle added, “Gleeds’ most important asset has always been our people, so it is rewarding to know that so many of them feel this is a truly Great Place to Work. We’ve received consistently positive feedback from our surveys, showing that our team is proud to shout about working at Gleeds, they feel free to bring their authentic selves to the office, and know that the work they do is valued.”

The Top 50 firms were announced at the Best Workplaces Awards held at London’s Grosvenor House and hosted by comedian Richard Ayoade.
