Dozens of Paisley homes benefit from new doors and windows

CCG and Ferguslie Park upgrades

THE CCG Group has announced completion of its latest supply and install contract in Paisley, with 52 residences owned by Ferguslie Park Housing Association the beneficiaries of new windows and doors.

The £580,000 contract comprised the installation of 337 UPVC windows and 121 composite external doors supplied entirely by CCG’s in-house manufacturing civision.

Operating from a newly-launched 25,000 sq ft hub in Cambuslang, the products are fabricated across a multi-channel production line before being installed by the group’s planned maintenance division known as Asset Management.

CCG said PVCu and [composite] are ‘highly durable’ materials that are not prone to weathering or rot, with a lifespan of up to 40 years. The products are Secure by Design certified and Vinyl Plus accredited, a sustainability mark accounting for the percentage (75%) of recycled materials that are used to create each component.

Jim Cunningham, CCG Asset Management manager, said, “We give thanks to Ferguslie Park HA for their support during the programme. These high-performing window and door products installed were fabricated under advanced conditions and installed by our expert tradespeople.

“This one-stop-shop approach has enabled us to deliver a level of service that is incredibly efficient, whilst the products themselves, due to their durability, will go a long way to helping reduce the association’s long-term maintenance costs. We look forward to working with Ferguslie Park HA again very soon.”

Catrina Miller, CEO from FPHA, added, “After reviewing earlier window and door retrofit programs, we revised not only our specification to increase the performance of the actual windows and doors but also enhanced the installation details too. After a comprehensive procurement exercise CCG won the contract and worked closely with us in finalising the design and the approach to the installation.

“We are extremely happy both with the quality of the windows and doors that CCG manufactured and the installation itself. Most importantly, we have received excellent feedback from our tenants who have noticed an immediate improvement in the comfort in their home.”

CCG’s PVCu windows and composite doors are fabricated in partnership with REHAU.

Hormoz Nouri, area sales manager, added, “Since 2020 our partnership with CCG has grown from strength and to strength and has seen us successfully collaborate on numerous projects. The combination of CCG’s extensive in-house expertise and added support from our technical team has facilitated a high-quality energy efficiency retrofit for Ferguslie Park. The fact that both the housing association and residents are delighted by their new windows is testament to the strength of this working relationship.”
