SCOTLAND-based maritime engineering firm Arch Henderson has been acquired by international consulting engineering company Royal HaskoningDHV.
Arch Henderson will retain its brand name in the short-term and will continue to operate in the Scottish market serving the ports and harbours from its offices in Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow, Lerwick and Thurso.
Royal HaskoningDHV CEO Marije Hulshof said, “We are very excited to welcome our new colleagues from Arch Henderson who are so complimentary to our team. Like us, they have over 100 years of maritime expertise, along with established and long-lasting client relationships with port and government clients. Together, with our maritime and renewable energy capabilities, we are now excellently positioned to capture the growing offshore wind port market around the North Sea and internationally.”
Arch Henderson principal partner Alan Kilbride added, “We too are all very excited to be joining Royal HaskoningDHV. We will be able to offer a wider range of services to our existing clients, grow faster, and for our colleagues this is a great opportunity to join in the delivery of prestigious projects and work internationally.”
Building on Arch Henderson’s record on maritime defence infrastructure across the Clyde estate and Royal HaskoningDHV’s experience at Portsmouth and Devonport naval bases, the team can now jointly expand its specialist civil, structural and architectural services to naval bases in the UK and allied nations.
By bringing Arch Henderson onboard, Royal HaskoningDHV has strengthened its UK business to over 800-strong.
