MANCHESTER-based property company AM Sci Tech – a subsidiary of Hurstwood Holdings – has completed the acquisition of the former Weatherford site at Aberdeen Energy Park in Bridge of Don.
The site spans 7.23 acres and will be rebranded as The Horizon Centre. Approximately half of the site consists of a detached industrial unit extending to 22,005 sq ft and a ‘substantial’ secure yard. The unit also includes two-storey office space.
AM Sci Tech is currently evaluating options for the remaining three-acre development site, with further announcements expected in the coming months.
Gordon Pirie, asset manager at Aberdeen Energy & Innovation Parks, said, “The acquisition of this site is a fantastic addition to Aberdeen Energy Park, further reinforcing its status as a premier destination for industry and innovation. We look forward to marketing the unit and advancing development plans for the remaining site. Our commitment to Aberdeen remains strong and we believe The Horizon Centre will play a key role in attracting businesses looking for high-quality, strategically located facilities.”
Paul Richardson, partner at Ryden, added, “The Horizon Centre presents an ideal opportunity for a variety of uses, particularly for organisations involved in net zero initiatives, energy transition or decommissioning. The site’s strategic location, high-quality facilities and extensive yard space make it a prime choice for businesses looking to establish or expand their operations in Aberdeen. We are excited to bring this opportunity to market and anticipate strong interest.”
