Vacant Uddingston industrial unit set for major overhaul

Tannochside Business Park unit - Knight Property Group

KNIGHT Property Group has completed the acquisition of a vacant 46,858 sq ft industrial unit on the outskirts of Uddingston and has now commenced a £500,000 refurbishment project.

Located within Tannochside Business Park, the mid-1990s unit features a standalone steel portal frame warehouse with a mezzanine and a single-storey office extension. Externally there is a secure yard, suitable for HGV operations, alongside a staff parking area.

The refurbishment project, which will be managed by Eycon, is scheduled for completion this spring. The works will involve an overhaul of the external roofing, gutters and windows, as well as full redecoration of the internal office areas and exposed structural steelwork.

Howard Crawshaw, MD of Knight Property Group, said, “Having acquired the unit in December 2024, we are delighted to see refurbishment works commence so quickly. This unit will soon provide over 46,000 sq ft of high-quality industrial and warehouse space. This project represents a significant addition to the local market, helping to meet the growing demand for modern, high-spec industrial units in this highly desirable part of Lanarkshire.

“Having successfully delivered several speculative developments across the area, including Belgrave Logistics Park in Bellshill and Langlands Commercial Park in East Kilbride, we are proud to continue investing in Lanarkshire’s business landscape. The strong demand for premium industrial space in the area is putting pressure on existing supply and this development reinforces our confidence in Lanarkshire as an excellent place to do business.”

Gregor Harvie, partner at Ryden added, “We are delighted to bring this refurbished industrial unit to the market, offering much-needed, high-quality commercial space in a key location within Lanarkshire. The unit upgrade will meet the demands of modern businesses, providing flexible and efficient space for a variety of industrial and warehouse operators.”
