TAYLOR Wimpey West Scotland has teamed up with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution to donate £25 for each new home sold and legally completed at the housebuilder’s Princess Gate and Queens Court developments in Troon.
The final tranche of £300 was donated this month, completing the total of £5,650 pledged to Troon RNLI when work started six years ago.
Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said, “We are delighted and proud to have completed our commitment to make a total donation of £5,650 to the Troon RNLI lifeboat station. Our last donation of £300 signals the completion of our two developments in Troon but does not diminish our admiration for the dedicated support this essential local charity and the service that it provides for the community of Troon.
“Working with Troon RNLI over the last six years has been a real honour, and supporting local charities and organisations surrounding our developments means a great deal to us. It’s always lovely to know that we are helping to make a difference in the lives of people in our local communities.”
The RNLI has a vital role within the community of Troon, and the local lifeboat station, with its two lifeboats, covers the lower Firth of Clyde. Troon RNLI lifeboat station has existed for 150 years.
Jean Shields, RNLI Troon vice president added, “We are extremely grateful for the support that we have received over the years from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, and we can’t thank them enough for their ongoing support of our work. Since 2018, their donations have been put to work locally to help us achieve the overall aim of providing our service to the local community. On behalf of everyone at Troon RNLI, I would like to say a huge thank you.”
