NFRC issues final extension to Roofing Awards submissions deadline

The Project of the Year Award in 2024 went to MAC Roofing & Contracting Ltd for DLS Synchrotron

THE NFRC (National Federation of Roofing Contractors) has announced a final extension to the deadline for nominations for the Roofing Awards 2025, following an ‘influx’ of submissions, many of which remain in progress.

Submissions will not be accepted after January 24. NFRC is now encouraging applicants to check the status of their entry to ensure it has been finalised and submitted, as entries will not be accepted if they are still in progress.

The trade association said there has been a surge of submissions in most disciplines, but is reminding contractors of the following categories and encouraging them to make a submission if they have completed appropriate projects:

  • Solar
  • Rainscreen facades
  • Small scale project < £25K
  • Fully supported metal
  • Leadwork

Entries are judged on complexity, challenge, workmanship, safety, and project management. Entries are open to NFRC members and any businesses that belong to the FTMRC, GRO, LRWA, MAC, MCRMA, NFRC Competent Person Scheme (formerly known as CompetentRoofer), and SPRA.

There are also the individual categories of Individual Health & Safety in Roofing Award; Young Roofer of the Year; and the inaugural Environmental Champion award.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on May 9.
