20 employees from GRAHAM Building North will take part in a charity skydive this August in Auchterarder as part of the contractor’s partnership with Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
The event has already raised £4,000 towards the team’s £20,000 fundraising target. The cash will help provide mobile sensory units for Scotland’s largest children’s hospital.
In December, GRAHAM donated £10,000 to the charity and hosted festive events, including a Christmas Jumper Day, bake sale, tombola, and a ‘guess the sweets in the jar’ competition, raising an additional £600. Staff also supported Santa’s grotto at the hospital, with six employees volunteering as elves.
William McGowan, head of partnerships at Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, visited GRAHAM’s Glasgow office to highlight how the charity’s work supports children and families. His presentation outlined why donations are vital in funding life-changing equipment, support services and research.
William said, “We rely on the support and generosity of our donors, fundraisers and partners to fund life-changing equipment and support services at Scotland’s busiest children’s hospital. We are delighted to be working with GRAHAM Building North to help children and families when they need us most.”
As part of the charity drive, GRAHAM employees from across regions united for an inter-divisional football tournament in Northern Ireland. Building North celebrated a silver plate victory, contributing £1,300 to the cause.
Chris MacLeod, regional director at GRAHAM, added, “This partnership demonstrates our commitment to supporting the outstanding efforts of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. We look forward to working with the charity to help them raise crucial funding and inform our workforce and supply chain about the amazing service they provide to children and families during a difficult time in their lives.”
