SCOTTISH Galvanizers Ltd has completed improvement works to its Glasgow-based premises.
The project has seen developments made to the office, canteen, and changing facilities and are designed to establish a ‘state-of-the-art’ site.
Totalling around £450,000, the building works began in March 2024.
General manager Martin Stevenson explained, “Group-wide, one of our main strategic priorities is to be a great place to work – to help us attract, recruit, and retain the very best people to the business. As part of this, we’re proactively working to enhance our employee environments to make them more comfortable and convenient for our entire team.
“The primary purpose of the development was to build a brand-new and bespoke canteen, changing facility, and toilet block for our workforce. And our office space also benefited from a significant extension, which added a welcoming reception area, an open-plan operations hub, and a redeveloped conference room. Plus, the existing building has been clad to match the new materials used to create a seamless aesthetic, and we’ve also replaced the roof and updated the windows throughout.
“Previously, our engineering team were located in a temporary office cabin, but following the expansion, they have a dedicated space within the office building too – meaning all on-site employees are now housed under one roof. Our new-and-improved employee spaces look absolutely fantastic, and it’s something that we can all be very proud of.”
Commercial manager Paul Tait added, “We are passionate about creating and maintaining a positive place for our team and a huge part of that is determined through the environment in which they work. We’re wholly dedicated to regularly updating, renovating, and improving our sites to ensure we’re appropriately taking care of our employees.”
