THE National Park Planning Authority has approved plans for the build of a new Callander Park Primary School.
Stirling Council said construction will begin in the new year, with the facility set to sit adjacent to Callander Nursery, McLaren High School, and McLaren Leisure Centre – creating the new Callander Community Campus.
Last year, Stirling Council approved £23 million of funding to deliver a new primary school as part of its capital investment programme, with the modern, high-quality school set to meet the needs of local families and the Callander community.
Children and young people convener at Stirling Council, councillor Danny Gibson, said, “Residents in Callander will be eager to see spades in the ground and work commencing on the community’s brand new primary school. The decision of the National Park Planning Authority brings this a step closer.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who took part in the public consultations as part of the process – your input will help ensure we deliver a modern, high-quality school which will meet the needs of families in the area.”
