Morgan Sindall eyes use of local firms on Ardrossan Campus build

MORGAN Sindall is to host a meet the buyer event to discuss opportunities for local firms on the build of Ardrossan Campus.

Taking place on December 11 at Ardrossan Civic Centre from 9-11:30am, any local SME, business, sole trader, and social enterprise can attend to discuss tendering opportunities.

The site is currently undergoing extensive remediation and construction of the new campus will not begin until next year. The new facility will comprise early years, primary and secondary school with additional support needs.

The shared community facilities will also include a library, learning hub, and indoor sports facilities including swimming pool, sports hall, gymnasium, dance studio & fitness studio, outdoor sports facilities including two sports pitches and a multi-use games area.

Stuart Parker, MD of Morgan Sindall Construction in Scotland, said, “Everyone on the project team is committed to working with local people and companies – and this meet the buyer event is an important opportunity for us to engage with local subcontractors, suppliers, and social enterprises.

“The Ardrossan Campus that we are delivering for North Ayrshire Council and SCAPE Scotland is very much a flagship project – a highly energy-efficient building with a state of the art design.

“Our supply chain manager will be on hand at the event to provide advice about how to become an approved supplier with Morgan Sindall, and we are looking forward to meeting and talking with local businesses.”
