First phase of ‘much needed’ Fife housing development nears completion

WORK is progressing on Robertson Partnership Homes’ build of 63 ‘much needed’ council houses at the site of a former primary school in Kennoway.

Fife Council said that the first phase at Langside Crescent will be finished in early 2025, with it delivering 43 new homes whilst the second phase – expected to be completed in November 2025 – will see the build of 20.

The 43 houses now completed are a mix of detached, semi-detached homes of various sizes along with single storey amenity and wheelchair bungalows. Each property is insulated to a very high standard.

Fife Council’s housing spokesperson councillor Judy Hamilton, said, “I am delighted that in the face of a housing emergency, we are continuing to deliver our ambitious Affordable Housing Programme, one of the UK’s largest social house-building programmes, while the pressure on housing services continues to be relentlessly high.

“Each new council house will deliver a warmer, healthier home that helps to improve the wellbeing of our tenants.”
