DANDARA is supporting the local community in Aberdeen this Christmas by donating vital food packages to Aberdeen North Foodbank.
The items donated by the housebuilder will form part of the essential food supply packages for local families in need over the festive season.
Established in 2017, the Aberdeen North Foodbank is working to ensure its emergency food parcels, which contain three days’ worth of essential meals, are distributed to those in need.
The Dandara team organised collection points across the company, from the sales suite to the site office, in order to gather a supply of non-perishable items to be donated.
Claire Bathgate, head of sales at Dandara Aberdeen, said, “Christmas can be a challenging time for all, but especially so for those who may not be able to afford the expense of the festive season. As a local housebuilder, we pride ourselves in being able to support the work of community initiatives improving the lives of those in the area. Despite being a small team, the staff have done a terrific job in gathering lots of essential supplies which will go to good use this Christmas.”
Jessica Mustoe, foodbank co-ordinator at Aberdeen North Foodbank, added, “We see an increase in demand at the foodbank each Christmas, and this year is no different. We rely on donations and collections from local organisations like Dandara to ensure that no one in Aberdeen goes hungry over the winter period, so we are very grateful to receive their support at this busy time of year.”
